Self propelled 6 meter wide row compost turner which is used to create aerobic compost high in microbial and fungal content which rebuilds soils, restores carbon and organic matter, prevents soil hardening, allows crumbing and improves erosion control. It also reduces disease and insect pressure and enhances water infiltration as well as reducing compaction. It improves nutrient retention and promotes healthier plants because it reduces the need for chemicals.

• • • Suggestion:  When you have completed your compost row and 100% happy with your end result!!, use 80% for applying where planned on your farm, then use the balance of  20% to germinate/populate the next row, thus assuring a great microbial mix in your compost.– this to steadily repopulate your new row with your microbial and fungal diversity 

• Correctly composted organic matter is a stable, aerobic, microbial, eco-friendly and well balanced nutrient source

This compost turner and the smaller 3 meter Tractor mounted Ritlee compost turner are manufactured with 4 main aspects in mind product wise:

1. To have a stable working turner which will easily compost from heavy kraal manure to a lighter mix of typical organic farm waste like pruning’s, chips, old grass bales, dung and litter etc without damaging vibration and body shake.
2. To manufacture a strong, durable, reliable, efficient turner at best price possible without forfeiting the strength, durability, reliability, and efficiency in any way whatsoever!
3. To manufacture a compost turner which can easily work on undulating land.
4. To manufacture a compost turner with spatulas on their drum which must have the following characteristics.
   1.  Arranged in a pattern where:
      1. compost turning and fluffing is the best possible exposing the compost to fresh air so as to expel the high temperatures, expel the high carbon dioxide levels, allow the compost to fall back in a neat triangular line.
      2. Where anaerobic clusters are broken up when being turned and not picked up and placed back without the breaking up function.– this done with too wide and long spatulas.
   2. To be perfectly mounted on drum without constantly coming loose, breaking, bending or wearing fast.
   3. To have well supported mounting brackets which will keep there position correct  for ever! without bending

Composting Site Requirements

• Area to be preferably level, with a slight slope to allow run-off of leach-ate.
• Slightly clay soils not a problem– this turner has exceptional grip and slip of 2x drive wheels is totally limited!
• Reliable Water supply point with easy on off control and sufficient pressure to feed water-drawn drag line to turner– This if watering application boom and connector ordered with unit!

Some Important facts

• The higher the quality of the Humus Compost produced, the greater the benefit to the soil and the greater the increase in crop quality and yield – far greater than the results that can be achieved with typical compost.
• Aeration of rows with correct pattern of spatulas is so very important.
• We have to get that CO2 out, the high temperatures out, the anerobic clusters broken up, the compost row must be crumbled!
