Ritlee were the first to develop a grinder located in the discharge for grinding the chips down into a finer size, suitable for creating cattle feed.

The first wood chipper with grinder took a few years with a lot of testing with exceptional results!

The first Ritlee 225 bush feed unit was successfully demonstrated to several cattle farmers, who were invited and hosted at Wesmelk Boerdery in Stella, by owner Willie Moolman.

This was our first effort with helping farmers produce feed from local selected indigenous bush and trees

The event was extremely successful, Senwes Co-operative was also present while testing and results conducted on Vaalbos proved successful. Willie is a Dairy Farmer and still uses this practice today. This demonstration resulted in the first 6 units been sold into the area.
